I'm Anika! I'm a third year Science student at Monash University on a full-ride scholarship majoring in Physiology and Anatomy & Developmental Biology with a deep interest in women’s health, embryology, and digital health. I’m currently exploring the intersections of science, healthcare, and design to improve health outcomes for women and their families.

COVID ruined many things, including my freshman year. Stranded overseas, I discovered brand design. At 19, I launched my own studio and worked with 40+ startups since.

In 2020, I became the first Filipino to receive the KC Kuok Scholarship, a generous full-ride valued at $360,000. Currently, I mentor aspiring high school students at CAUSE PH!

I've witnessed firsthand how lack of science literacy can negatively affect lives. Now, I aim to make science accessible through clear writing, creative visuals, and compelling storytelling.

Medical Pantry is an entirely volunteer-run charity dedicated to rescuing medical supplies from landfills and redistributing them to those in need, including rural clinics, hospitals, developing countries, animal welfare organizations, and student societies. As a volunteer, I sorted incoming supplies and managed inventory with fellow volunteers to ensure prompt distribution to our charity partners. Below is a photo of a truck full of donations heading to Congo.

During the pandemic, Typhoon Ulysses, a Category 4 storm, struck the Philippines, causing widespread damage and displacement. I remotely led a team of five in organizing disaster relief, overcoming lockdown barriers to coordinate with suppliers and arrange interstate transportation. We prepared and distributed essential kits to 50 victims stranded in rural areas, providing crucial support to those displaced from their homes.

As a student volunteer with the Buddhist Compassion Relief Tzu Chi Foundation, I taught English weekly to ESL students aged 18-50 years old and assisted medical practitioners in conducting check-ups and tuberculosis assessments in underserved communities. I also coordinated the collection of over 1,000 kg of used clothing for upcycling, promoting sustainability and reducing waste.

Founder & President

In 2018, I founded MusiKaligayahan, bringing together a 16-person team to organize a charity bazaar that raised $1,700 for cancer patients in just a week. The funds we raised covered a month of medical expenses for five children. We also partnered with the Philippine Pediatric Orthopedic Center, hosting a heartfelt day of music and activities, creating joy for patients and volunteers alike.
